Choosing a cannabis extraction system for your business is a big deal. It’s going to be the backbone of your production operation. Thankfully, you’ve come this far. You’ve decided that a closed-loop ethanol extraction system is right for you. Now, you need to choose the exact system that will help your business grow.
The ENTEXS MINI line of extraction systems all shares a number of powerful benefits that streamline the extraction process and maximize yield. However, they have a few key differences between the MINI 3, 9 & 18 that are essential to determine which one is best to power your business.Â
The Same Solid Foundation
All ENTEXS MINI systems are built on the same reliable foundation, and they all share the same basic configuration. Â
The ENTEXS MINI systems are closed-loop ethanol extraction systems. They run on an ultra-cold ethanol solvent at temperatures as low as -80°C to separate the desired cannabinoids from raw plant material. The separation itself occurs in the system’s specially designed high-speed batch centrifuge.Â
ENTEXS MINI systems are engineered from the ground up to be highly efficient. By their very nature, closed-loop ethanol systems are already efficient, but the ENTEXS engineering team aspired to take the efficiency of the MINI systems to the next level. Every extraction system in the MINI line is capable of capturing an impressive 98% of cannabinoids from raw plant material. MINI systems are also efficient in their ability to save resources. By design, the ENTEXS MINI extraction systems waste as few resources as possible. Each system can recover 97% of the solvent used to be recycled and reused in future batches.Â
Every MINI extraction system is also fully automated. Each system features dual 24-inch touch screen control panels to configure and monitor the system. From there, the entire extraction process is entirely hands-free. If your team prefers remote monitoring, all ENTEXS MINI systems support real-time cloud-based monitoring from your computer or mobile device. Â
Power Requirements
Since your extraction system is at the heart of your cannabis processing business, the cost to operate it will be central to your operating costs. Energy consumption is a large part of that.Â
The different MINI models require different amounts of energy to run. The smallest of the MINI series, the MINI 3, requires 50 KW to operate, not including the chiller or any peripheral components. The next step up, the MINI 9, runs on 60 KW, excluding the chiller and peripherals. Finally, the MINI 18, the largest MINI needs 65 KW without the peripherals.Â
Processing Capacity
The primary differences between the ENTEXS MINI line are the amount of raw cannabis they are capable of processing in one day. The volume they can produce is directly tied to the energy they require and the physical footprint of each system. It’s also probably your primary consideration for your business.Â
The ENTEXS MINI 3 is the smallest of the MINI systems, and it has the lowest capacity. That doesn’t mean that the system isn’t capable; far from it. The MINI 3 can handle a batch of 15 pounds of raw plant material at a time. Its daily throughput potential is 450 pounds. It can handle 300 pounds in just 16 hours.Â
The middle-of-the-pack MINI 9 is another capable machine, and it provides a substantial step up from the MINI 3. The MINI 9 processes a batch of 20 pounds of raw material at once. That slight increase in batch size over its smaller counterpart makes a massive difference in the system’s daily throughput capacity. The MINI 9 can process 900 pounds of cannabis in one day.Â
For a serious increase in processing capacity, look no further than the MINI 18. This powerful system processes a batch of 35 pounds of raw material at once. The maximum daily throughput of the MINI 18 is an impressive 1800 pounds of plant matter.Â
Footprint
Depending on the physical area of your facility and your business goals, the footprint occupied by your extraction system can be a significant factor. The MINI systems have different footprints to fit your available space. It’s also important to keep in mind that because ENTEXS does all of their engineering, machining, and fabrication in-house, our skilled installers can customize your MINI systems to fit your facility.Â
Both the MINI 3 and the MINI 9 are 25 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 10 feet tall. In order to accommodate the MINI 18’s much greater processing capacity, that system is 30 feet long, 7 feet wide, and ten feet tall.Â
Whatever your business needs may be, the ENTEXS MINI systems are a simple, compact, and efficient way to maximize your processing operation.Â
